Anastasia necklace Jan 15

10 am - 12:30 pm

NEW

This traditional Russian stitch is called the Leningrad or St. Petersburg stitch. Here we mix it with accent beads for an easy, delicate necklace. It also works great as a strap for amulet bags and small purses and makes a delicate bracelet, too.

African Helix necklace Jan 15

1:30 - 4 pm

This traditional African stitch closely resembles a DNA helix: hence the name. The look for this piece is contemporary and elegant, and the swirl around the outside is an eye catcher. Changing your color palette definitely makes each necklace you create unique.

Serpentine Ndebele bracelet Feb 1 and 8 Using Delica beads is what makes this bracelet special. They wind in and out of accent beads to create a piece that's sparkling and elegant and looks a bit like snakeskin. If you look carefully, you can see this is an ndebele variation.

A bracelet fit for a queen, this one uses almost 200 Swarovski crystal bicones in a hexagonal pattern reminiscent of Moorish mosaics. Intermediate or advanced beaders.

Nile Queen Mar 1 and 8 Yet another ndebele variation, this collar-style necklace is full, yet delicate for a lacey look. The first session will be short (only an hour, but students may stay longer to work if they wish), while the second session will be 3 hours.

Totally Tubular necklace Mar 5 and 12

Also known as “zip beads,” these peyote tube beads can be used for many projects. Pair them with each other and string them with assorted accent beads for a necklace or bracelet that’s sure to please!

Ndebele Wave necklace Mar 5 and 12

1:30 - 4 pm

This necklace is the basic Ndebele stitch, and uses a variety of bead sizes to create the elegant undulations that give it its shape. It certainly looks more complicated than it is, and you won’t want to stop with just one!

Embellished Peyote Cabochon Mar 22 and 29 NEW

Surround a cabochon of your choice with tiny seed beads and Delica beads, then learn to form layers of embellishment to enhance the look.
