NEW

This traditional Russian stitch is called the Leningrad or St. Petersburg stitch. Here we mix it with accent beads for an easy, delicate necklace. It also works great as a strap for amulet bags and small purses and makes a delicate bracelet, too.

African Helix necklace Sat. Jan 15

1:30 - 4 pm

This traditional African stitch closely resembles a DNA helix: hence the name. The look for this piece is contemporary and elegant, and the swirl around the outside is an eye catcher. Changing your color palette definitely makes each necklace you create unique.

Peyote Stitch Needlecase Sat. Jan. 15

This class, also taught by guest instructor Amy Loh-Kusper, is a basic tubular Peyote Stitch class. Students will learn tubular Peyote Stitch with a pattern, the "Geocelest" pattern from one of Amy's books. The finished product is not only beautiful, but it is functional, you will have a terrific place to store your needles for other classes!

Advanced Earrings Sat. Jan. 22 1:00 - 3:00 Have you made earrings before? Getting tired of making the same old thing? This class is for you. You will make 2 different pairs of earrings using techniques you probably haven’t used in making earrings before. You will use a variety of different shaped beads, wire, chain, and lots of headpins.

Prerequisite: Beginning Jewelry and must be proficient in making earring loops.

Twisted Micro Macramé Bracelet Sat. Jan. 22

In this beginning Micro Macramé class, you will make a simple, but wonderful macramé bracelet. Using only one type of knot and several sizes of beads you will make a bracelet that cork screws around your wrist

Wire Waterfall Earrings

Using techniques from the Wire Wrapped Cabochon class, students will construct a pair of chandelier type earrings. The wire cascades down like water, with drips of beads hanging from them. This is a terrific class for those who would like to expand their earring making skills.

Zig-zag Crystal Bracelet

This is one of the most elegant bracelets you will have on your wrist! Use 2 different colors of crystals to make this triangular right angle weave. Beginners welcome.

This class will teach you how to do a basic border wrap of a glass or stone cabochon. You will learn how to set bindings around 3 or more strands of sterling silver wire that will form a bezel around your choice of cabochon. You will also learn how to make a bail that is incorporated in the design. The finished product will be a sterling silver pendant slide that you can include in a beaded necklace.
