Capital Valley United Crossfire 84 U18 girls team is Sacramento-based and draws from 10 different high schools. Since coach Mark Broers took over the team in the 99/00 season (2 seasons) this team went from a losing record to being ranked within the top 8 in Northern California. The Crossfire 84 took 2nd in CA Cup and the Aztec tournaments last year. The Crossfire 84 lost in the State Cup quarterfinals to the eventual Northern CA champions (2nd consecutive year). Crossfire 84 was the only team to score against the eventual champions during the State Cup tournament. This season Crossfire 84 added 5 strong players and will be an even stronger team.

This team is made up entirely of high school seniors, each with personal goals of playing soccer in college and with academic achievements to support such aspirations.
